This section due for expansion once I get some more info gathered. Just satisfy yourself with my 3:00 am musing for now, eh?

Honda

Japanese Name: Honda Hiroto

Dub Name: Tristan Taylor

Seiyuu: Okiayu Ryoutarou

Voice Actor: Frank Frankson

Role:

Honda exists in the background, as reliable as the sky. He tries to be the hero, the support, but more often than not he just ends up lugging around the unconcious bodies. This need to protect his friends often winds up with him swinging at boulders and trapped inside a virtual robotic monkey. ^_^;; He tries.

Background:

He might not be quite the boy scout we'd believe, however. In the manga (volume 2, issue 11, Shounen Jump translation) he tells Yuugi that Jounouchi went through a rough time when "...he lived to fight with gangs from other schools... some times even high school gangs" and that "They almost sent him to jail." It'd be fairly safe to assume that Honda took part in this. Even the anime hints at a less than peaceful school life.

His fighting prowess kinda backs this up a bit. In episode 77, Wake Up! Red Eyes Black Dragon (sub), he and Shizuka are attacked by the Ghouls. He may have done much better if it weren't for the fact that Shizuka was also being attacked. A few scenes later, however, the Ghouls are looking much worse for were thanks to Honda.

Family:

One would assume the standard mother and father. A sibling, assumed sister, because we get to meet his delightful nephew. -_o Little pervert.

Otogi

Japanese Name: Otogi Ryuuji

Dub Name: Duke Devlin

Seiyuu: Naitou Rei

Voice Actor: Marc Thompson

Role:

Otogi entered the series as a psuedo villan, sadly enough there primarily to pad out the transition between arcs in both the anime and manga. The sudden!redemption trick turned him into a decent human being in the anime, while the manga gave him a more natural sympathetic development. Otogi winds up playing cheerleader next to Honda.

Background:

Differs greatly between anime and manga. Anime portrays him as something of a egotistical, spoiled brat. Angry that his deal with Pegasus was thrown off by the Eye guy's defeat, he seeks Yuugi's defeat. In the manga, he's still looking to beat Yuugi, but for an entirely different reason. He was raised on a steady diet of card tricks, creepy clowns, and "You must get the Puzzle, my son, 'cause I'm a nad and lost a game for it in the first place to Yuugi's grandad." Needless to say, this change in motivation changes a lot in his character.

Family:

Creepy clown dad, but just in the manga. In the anime... um... he probably sprang full formed from the same laboratory vat as the rest of 'em. ^_^;;
